Greater Houston REIA

New and growing investors looking for local education and deals

About

Greater Houston REIA is a real estate investors association that brings Houston-area investors, real estate pros and homeowners together for education and networking. It operates under Alamo Real Estate Investors Association, LLC, alongside sister groups Lone Star REIA and AlamoREIA. Its volunteer leadership includes President Drew Huynh, Executive Director James Haney and Chief Connector Ray Sasser, and its mentors have worked with investors since 2014.

The main meeting runs on the second Saturday of each month at the Residence Inn on Clay Road in west Houston. Between main meetings, members can join focus groups on wholesaling and new investing, landlording, commercial and multifamily deals and the Bay Area market, plus a women-in-real-estate group and Zoom workshops. The group also offers private mentoring and keeps a vendor directory of local lenders, title companies and other service providers. Its Meetup group lists close to 2,000 members.

Why TaxDrop recommends them

We recommend Greater Houston REIA to new and growing investors in Harris County who want local education and a network of people doing deals. Here's why:

  • Monthly main meeting. Members meet the second Saturday of each month in west Houston.
  • Focused groups. Separate groups cover wholesaling, landlording, commercial and multifamily and the Bay Area market.
  • Mentoring available. The group's mentors have worked with Houston investors since 2014.
  • Local vendor directory. Its site profiles lenders, title companies and property managers that partner with the group.
