The Texas property tax protest deadline is firm. Here's what you need to know.
May 15th — or 30 days after you receive your Notice of Appraised Value, whichever is later. There are no extensions.
Notices of Appraised Value are typically mailed in April. As soon as you receive yours, enter your address at taxdrop.com to see your estimated savings.
We can often file up to the deadline, but last-minute sign-ups mean less time to build your case. We recommend signing up at least 2 weeks before the deadline.
Unfortunately, if you miss the deadline, you'll have to wait until next year to protest. Sign up now and we'll put you on our list for next year.
