Counties We Serve

TaxDrop covers six states. What is available depends on where your property is, because full-service representation and the self-serve packet do not have the same footprint.

Texas β€” full service and self-serve

Full-service representation, where licensed consultants file and argue your protest, is available in 17 Texas counties: Harris, Dallas, Tarrant, Bexar, Travis, Collin, Denton, Fort Bend, Williamson, Montgomery, Brazoria, Galveston, Hays, Comal, El Paso, Grayson and McLennan.

The self-serve packet covers 43 Texas counties β€” those 17 plus Gregg, Fannin, Parker, Nueces, Brazos, Kaufman, Johnson, Taylor, Rockwall, Wise, Kerr, Aransas, Austin, Grimes, Franklin, Cameron, Caldwell, Lubbock, Wichita, Guadalupe, Titus, Milam, Delta, Jefferson, Oldham and Rusk.

California β€” self-serve

Six counties: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Alameda, Santa Clara, Contra Costa and Sacramento. California appeals are filed with the Clerk of the Board and heard by the county Assessment Appeals Board.

Georgia β€” self-serve

Four counties: Fulton, Gwinnett, DeKalb and Chatham. Georgia appeals go to the County Board of Tax Assessors within 45 days of your Annual Notice of Assessment.

Florida, New Jersey and Maryland β€” statewide

These three states are covered statewide rather than county by county, because each has a single statewide assessment source. In Florida, petitions go to the county Value Adjustment Board within 25 days of your TRIM notice. In New Jersey, appeals are heard by the County Board of Taxation. In Maryland, values are set by the Supervisor of Assessments at SDAT.

Not sure whether your county is covered? Enter your address and we will tell you what is available for your property.
